Gone
Anna had just rented the 800 dollar apartment. She had to leave the Old
Town of Wintserville. She wanted to try something new by moving to Atlanta, Georgia. After a couple of weeks she decided to throw
a housewarming. She was curious to see how many people would show up,
considering how quiet her city was. The party was set for three o'clock in the
evening. New neighbors
started arriving an hour late and welcomed her to the neighborhood. Most
neighbors had smiling faces and welcomed her with so much enthusiasm. There was
this one couple who she could tell had some hostility towards her. When the
couple spoke to her, all they could say was you should save yourself. The guy put
his arm around Anna, and she noticed that he'd had a deep cut on his pointer finger.
He wanted to tell her that he was looking out for her best interest. Anna
thought about that moment all day even while she lay asleep. She wanted to know
how could he possibly know what’s good for her? If he's a stranger why would he even want to look out for her? It kept her up because she
wanted to know what was the harm in her moving to that apartment?
The next
morning around eight o'clock she decided to go out and get some groceries for
the house. Anna had only spent about one hour away from the house. By the time
Anna came back to the apartment she saw smoke coming from her complex. She
hopped right out of the car and rushed to her doorstep where the smoke grew
heavier. As soon as she opened her door, the flames burst right past her. Anna saw that there was no way
out, either she'd go towards the ring of fire and hope she make it through or
jump out of the window. Anna decided to go in and attempt to put the fire out.
She struggled to get past the living room where she tripped over the remote. As
she stopped to gasp for air she could hear footsteps leading to the door. Anna
quickly reached in her plaid shirt to grab her inhaler that she normally had in
her front pocket. The footsteps grew closer and closer towards her and she
started to panic. She was afraid because she was supposed to be the only person
living in that apartment building. The
door opened and the guy screamed, "Are you okay?" As he came forward
bursting through the ring of fire Anna saw that he was scrawny, wore suspenders,
high-waisted pants,
and glasses. Anna saw that the guy had freckles, and she remembered that distinct scar that was on his finger.
She couldn't quite put that memory into thought where she knew him from. She
thought to herself now, "How could he help me out of this situation?"
The blazes of the fire were now making the image of the guy trying to help her
disappear. She reached inside the pockets of her pink skinny jeans to look for
a flashlight she usually carried around in her back pockets. By this time
flames had caught onto her burgundy hair. She gently patted it out and
continued to yield for her safety. The guy quickly ran behind her and scooped
her up. Anna panicked because she didn't know who he was so she kicked and
screamed. The panicking caused her to faint.
At least ten
minutes went by and Anna awoke from a blackout because of the smoke. When she opened her
warm brown eyes the first thing she noticed is a wrinkly piece of paper. She
opened it, and there was a message written on it. The note read: I hope
you're okay and don't worry. I made sure
that you were safe, if you need me give me a call. Anna thought to herself that
she wanted to meet this stranger because he saved her life. As she read the
rest of the note she could see a tear at the top right corner. Two of the
numbers were missing. Anna sat on the curb in frustration because she wanted to
thank the stranger and just ask why?
She decided to
walk to a convenient mart that was right up the street so that she could call a
ride. She arrived to the store leaving all that she owned in her car. She
would've driven there but the car had been damaged by the fire. When she stepped
inside, the cashier's
back was turned towards her, and his shirt read: Foodland. When the cashier turned she
recognized the boy’s freckles that he had on his left hand. Those were the same
hands that swept her off her feet and rescued her. That was also the same man
she'd noticed at the party. She knew this because of the scar that he had on
his right index finger. Anna decided to ask the man why did he save her life if
he barely knew her? The man replied with the most mysterious answer she could
think of ," You'd be surprised if you knew what I know about you."
She closed her eyes for a second to put his answer into thought. By the time
she opened her eyes the guy had disappeared.
Anna immediately freaked out and went to the
library. She went onto google and typed in men in Atlanta with scar on their
index finger. When she got to the third
page, she froze
because she saw the man's picture. After getting his address she caught the bus
with the $3 that she had left. When she arrived at his house, she asked to
speak with him so he welcomed her in. About an hour of talking went by before
the man just had an outburst and said, "Anna I'm your father ." She
was at a loss for words and knew something wasn't right. Anna asked for
something to drink, but when he came back Anna was gone.
- Love :). Sonnet
Boom! my heart burst right inside of my chest
Collapses because of the pain inside
Dying , because it needs a little rest
I can't run anymore from trying to hide
Racing, beating, searching, for what it needs
Its one question shall be, where is the love?
Circulating through my body it leads
Looking for my soulmate from up above
It captures all my innermost feelings
So that you can understand parts of me
My heart has been broken, it needs healing
In your arms is where I want to be
By now you should get what I am saying
Never leaving your side, I am staying

Stormy !
Sonnet
Boom , the thunder makes a vivacious roar
The storm approaches in a high speed wind
Because of the storm the birds cannot soar
How much damage will it cause in the end?
Bang ! It takes over anything en route
Terrified, the people run like crazy
The news will tell you how it came about
Plants died , just like the beautiful daisy
The scenery has just become tragic
No one is safe and there is no way out
If it disappeared it would be magic
Will this be marked in history, no doubt
The storm calms down within a few minutes
You can hear the wind if you just listen
